- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 large shallots, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 large bunches (1 1/2 lbs. total) rainbow chard, ribs cut into 1/4-in. pieces and leaves roughly chopped
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. red chile flakes
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
