  • 110 soft dark brown sugar
  • g medium eggs beaten together
  • 125 wholemeal flour
  • g mixed spice
  • 125 bicarbonate soda
  • g dessert apple cored, sliced and tossed in lemon juice
  • 2 caster sugar, mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 130 icing sugar, mixed with lemon juice until thick
