• 1/2 cup cake shortening (recommended: Crisco)
• 1 teaspoon instant espresso
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Pinch kosher salt
