DESCRIPTION
Naan is an Indian flatbread which is popular all throughout Central and South Asia, as well as parts of Africa. This is a version that is particular to Afghanistan.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 lbs whole wheat flour (5 1/4 cups)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 (1/4 ounce) package quick-rising yeast
- 4 -5 teaspoons vegetable oil (optional)
- 2 cups warm water
- nigella seeds (optional) or poppy seeds (optional) or sesame seeds (optional)
