- 2½ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting the work surface
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup vegetable shortening, chilled
- 12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into ¼-inch pieces
- 6-8 tablespoons ice water
