  • tsp pinch of asafoetida/hing (optional
  • 0.5 spring onion, finely sliced
  • tsp clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli, finely sliced (optional)
  • 1 small tomato, chopped
  • 0.5 garam masala powder
  • 1 cooked chickpeas, drained and washed if in brine
  • 1 fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 salt, to taste
