• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 1 1/2 cup rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
• 1 teaspoon almond extract
• Butter for greasing the pan
• 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
