  • One 8-ounce rectangle of feta, patted dry
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 black peppercorns (if you don't have whole peppercorns, use a few good grinds of black pepper)
  • 1 pint blackberries
  • 4 juniper berries (if you can't find these, you can use a bay leaf)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon buckwheat honey
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
