This is usually our Christmas dinner soup. Very rich and yummy ... albeit not at all calorie-wise.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup flour
- 5 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 cups water
- 4 egg yolks (optional)
- 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon rosemary, bruised
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
- nutmeg (to taste)
