- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup port wine
- 4 cups beef stock or 4 cups chicken stock
- 14 ounces cherry tomatoes or 14 ounces diced tomatoes
- 6 slices baguette, lightly toasted
- 1 1/2 cups gruyere cheese, grated
- salt and pepper
