- 2 tablespoons minced jalapeno
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 2/3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Grated Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, for serving
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Chopped green onions, for serving
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
