Country Apple Crumb Cake

INGREDIENTS

• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 4 large eggs, room temperature
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 lemon, zest of, grated
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 3 cups golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and sliced crosswise (about 2.5)
• 3/4 cup flour
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 6 tablespoons butter, cut into 1/4 inch pieces
