  • 1 cup whole almond (blanched)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 pinch cream of tartar
  • slivered almonds, to decorate (optional)
