  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion
  • 2 teaspoons butter or 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 1 1/3 cups long grain rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 2/3 cups water
