Jazz up this delicate custard with the bold flavors of dark caramel and figs.



INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon
  • 15 ripe figs, cut in half lengthwise, stems removed
