DESCRIPTION

The almond filling enhances the taste of the plums in this rustic free-form tart.



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, plus more for work surface
  • Pate Brisee
  • 1/2 cup finely ground toasted hazelnuts
  • 2 tablespoons light-brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds (about 5) plums, sliced into 1/2-inch-thick wedges
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup plum or red-currant jam
