My husband and I have two sons —21 and 18 —both away at college. I send these brownies to them regularly, and they tell me that they have to hide a few from their roommates just so they can make sure there'll be some left!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 2 Eggland's Best Eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- FILLING:
- 1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 to 3 tablespoons half-and-half cream or milk
- GLAZE:
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 1 tablespoon butter
