- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 to 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- FILLING:
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
