- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or you can use bourbon; I’ll never tell)
- 3 1/2 to 4 pounds peaches
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- A couple pinches of salt
