• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 12 tbsp butter, at room temp
• 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
• 3/4 cup cocoa powder (not Dutch-processed)
• 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 3 large eggs, at room temp
• 1 1/4 cups water
• 1/4 cup milk
